MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
What are your fees? The hourly fee for Dr. Hutchinson’s counseling is $150 - $200. Lower rates will apply for group counseling.
Do you take insurance payments? Not directly. Services are not rendered on the basis that the insurance company will pay any or all of the charges.
Depending upon the type of coverage you have, you may be able to get reimbursed for counseling by your health plan.
At the end of each session Dr. Hutchinson gives you a receipt that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
What type of payments do you take? Payment can be made by major credit card or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover), check or cash.
Do you bill for your services? No. Payment is due at the time of service.
What happens if I am unable to keep my scheduled appointment? This time has been reserved for you. Dr. Hutchinson requires a 24 hour notice of cancellation. If a 24-hour notice of cancellation is not provided, you will be charged for the cancelled or missed appointment.
Will I be charged for the initial call? There is no charge for the initial consultation call.
Is Dr. Hutchinson reachable between appointments? Yes. Her voice mail message gives clear instructions on how to reach her.
How long will the process of counseling
take?The initial psychological evaluation for weight loss
surgery is generally done in one 90-minute to two-hour session.
Is your counseling limited to only weight loss surgery issues? No. Dr. Hutchinson has over 25 years of experience in a variety of areas associated with daily living. |
